Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about becoming a village agent, working in the field, verification and payment, partnering with MOVEMAX Connect, and using the offline app.
Becoming an agent
Who is eligible to apply as a MOVEMAX Connect village agent?
Applicants must be 18 years or older, live in the village they apply to serve, have access to a Rwandan mobile number and a smartphone for field tasks, and agree to our Terms of Use and Privacy Notice.
Is there any cost to apply, join, or get trained?
No. Applying, activating an approved account, and completing required onboarding training are completely free. Never pay anyone who claims they can guarantee or fast-track approval.
How can I check the status of my agent application?
Keep the MC-XXXXXX reference code shown on your confirmation screen. Visit the Application Status page and enter both your registered phone number and reference code.
Working as an agent
What activities do village agents carry out?
Depending on the opportunities and projects active in your village, you may record assisted customer orders, conduct household surveys, register programme beneficiaries, facilitate community training sessions, or log field visits.
Who supports me if I have a question in the field?
Every village agent works within a geographic supervision chain—supported by a Cell Supervisor, Sector Supervisor, and District Supervisor—who review submissions, provide guidance, and help resolve field issues.
Payment and verification
How are activities verified and when are commissions paid?
Submitted fieldwork and orders go through two-stage verification: first a MOVEMAX supervisor pre-check, then final acceptance by the partner organisation. Once verified and the contract's release condition is satisfied, your commission becomes payable and is disbursed in an approved payout batch.
What happens if a submission needs correction?
If a photo is unclear or a required field is incomplete, your supervisor or reviewer returns the item to your 'Corrections needed' queue with a clear reason so you can update and resubmit it.
Partners
How does an organisation start working with MOVEMAX Connect?
Submit a Partner Enquiry on our website. Our commercial team will contact you to discuss your objectives, target geography, verification rules, and contractual terms.
Do partners get access to review fieldwork and deliverables?
Yes. Under an active contract, authorised partner contributors, verifiers, and analysts receive scoped access to the Partner Portal to submit offers, verify pre-checked deliverables, and download reports.
Using the app (install, offline, data)
Who can install the MOVEMAX Connect mobile app?
The installable offline app is built specifically for signed-in field roles (Village Agents and Cell, Sector, and District Supervisors). Office and partner users work directly in their web browser.
What happens to work I record while offline?
Your forms, orders, and evidence are saved in your device's offline queue. When you reconnect to mobile data or Wi-Fi, the app synchronises your queued items to the server without creating duplicates.
